Our mission is to develop innovative and inspiring films and series to inspire audiences with exceptional stories that stand out from the masses of offers. CO-SHAREHOLDERS, SUPPORTERS AND LEGAL ADVISORS Axel and Barbara Bauer are both lawyers who moved to Dresden in 1993 after living in Hamburg for 17 years. Dr. Axel Bauer is currently practicing law in his own firm and has been partner in White & Case LLP for many years, one of the world's largest international law firms. He was Head of their offices in Berlin, Dresden and Munich. After his retirement from White & Case he opened the law firm LEXPERT Dr. Bauer & Partner. He specializes in commercial law and has extensive experience in structuring and leading commercial transactions. He represents, among others, numeriaus clients from the media sector and has been chairman of the supervisory board of various companies. Barbara Bauer has been managing partner of the software company Softcontrol GmbH, which developed and distributed software for lawyers until Siemens/Nixdorf later bought the company. She then founded the company Lexpert GmbH, which, in addition to software, mainly provided nationwide training for the legal information system juris. Since 2002, she has developed a sculpture garden on a former vineyard in Dresden, which now presents around 50 artworks. She loves to read books. She therefore became a qualified nurse and worked as a model for the magazine SIBYLLE. After the Wall came down, complteted her high school diploma, passed her university entrance exam, studied philosophy at the Humboldt University in Berlin and subsequently studied directing at the film school 'Konrad Wolf' in Potsdam-Babelsberg. She worked as an actress, costume and set designer, directed plays and volunteered as a Probation Officer at the Women's Detention Center Berlin Plötzensee. She wrote various screenplays and has been supporting young female colleagues on their career path for many years. Her films often deal with people - especially women - in strenuous situations and have received numerous awards. Her first documentary OHNE BEWÄHRUNG - PSYCHOGRAMM EINER MÖRDERIN, which she realized during her studies, received the Geisendörfer Award and her highly acclaimed debut DIE KINDER SIND TOT the German Film Award. Her first feature-length film UNTER DEM EIS was awarded the prestigious Grimme Prize in 2007. In addition to her films, since 2019 she is working as an Honorary Professor at the Film University Potsdam Babelsberg.
